Research tool for online merchant to organize better

Discover new product concept

I joined the data analytics team as a UX designer. Our team's mission is to discover new products for the bank. So far, we've decided to focus on the ecommerce industry

From our research, we found that over 40% of Thais have shopped on social media platforms, more than any country in the World. There is a huge growth in industry based on BCG research (75% in growth)

Position ourself as a tool for online merchant

With the growth of industry, many of new online merchant has entered to the market. As a bank, we see an opportunity to help merchants with financial services.

Merchant 2.0 will helps them manage their business better while we can have better knowledge of their business and the ability to underwrite loans for non-salary online merchants.

Lots of work, little time

Merchant has lots of work to do such as answering their customer chat, manage inventory, contact supplier and so on. Some merchants need to work on their full time job.

So our goal is to assists online merchants in managing difficult tasks so that they can focus on more important tasks product and services developement and marketing.

Design solution

In this project, I was focus to design features that integrate all social media chats into one place which will locate in our apps. the second feature is inventory management

Test with real user

The result is amazing. It is quite great among our users. "This application would be really beneficial for us and also quite user-friendly," they remarked, and we received a lot of positive responses.


Summary

Unfortunately this project didn't go live, but we got good results. If, with the right timing, we might be able to bring this project to the top right away.

However, this project is one of my favorite projects. I've learned a lot working in Research and working with others, both UX designers, PMs, and POs that give me a new perspective on how to work.
